The decision to retain the services of hospice care is an important one that requires thoughtful consideration backed by thorough research and straightforward information. This is an important time for you and your loved one and demands the best decision based on all the information available. These FAQs are intended to give you a way to educate yourself and the people you love about the many services and benefits of Hospice of Hope.
Established in 2015, Hospice of Hope is a full service Hospice care provider. We are committed to providing compassionate care to our patients and families. We believe that each individual should be granted the opportunity to reach the end of life in a dignified and comfortable manner.
Our focus is to enable our patients to live as fully and comfortably as possible while providing spiritual and palliative care through God’s grace. This special care is primarily provided in the patient’s home. However, those living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or other in-patient facilities may also be eligible.
Hospice of Hope is dedicated to a special way of caring for individuals during their final phase of life, offering pain control and symptom relief and allowing the individual to live life as fully and comfortably as possible.
In addition to pain control and symptom relief, hospice provides support for patients and their families during a difficult time. Our focus is on the patient and family rather than the disease.
First, our philosophy is to create and promote an environment that allows patients to be comfortable and peaceful to the maximum extent possible. You can count on us to provide high-quality care to all of our patients and to treat them with respect and dignity — just like a member of our own family.
Our staff is well trained and equipped to meet your hospice needs. We bring more than 30 years experience in our industry and have worked with hundreds of patients and families who have experienced the care and comfort provided by our professional staff.
You can expect a reliable and dependable partner who does what we say we’ll do. From showing up on time to following protocols for therapy, medication and any doctor’s orders, we will make sure the job is done right.
You can expect that your loved one will be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
As a family member suffering loss, your well-being is important, too. Just as we care for a dying loved one, Hospice of Hope is also aware of your needs and seeks to be a source of support and encouragement during this difficult time. Our focus is on the patient and the family rather than the disease.
After a loved one passes, we want your last memories to be special and positive. We want you to feel your family member was in good hands with Hospice of Hope.
In many ways, this is a family decision that affects not only you – but your loved ones, too. That’s why it’s important that your family members are fully on board and support you in the decision you make.
Talk it over with your family. Discuss candidly the primary reasons why you are considering hospice care. Emphasize the importance of your loved one being comfortable, cared for and pain free. Your decision will be made easier by ensuring your family’s questions are answered, and they are well-informed.
Above all, remember that your family members love and care about your loved one just as you do. Their happiness and well-being are their utmost concerns. When they see you are acting in your loved one’s best interests, they will be confident – and supportive, too.
